| Comida España's Extra Virgin Olive Oils win several awards at 2010 Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition. The following extra virgin olive oils received awards at the L.A. competition this year: BEST OF CLASS CATEGORY: BEST DESIGN CATEGORY The 2010 Los Angeles Olive Oil Competition was judged in two main categories - domestic and international - and results were separated according to regional designations and fruitiness intensity levels. The competion also featured flavored oils this year. Olive Oil Tasting Tips: Taste oil alone in a cup for a more pure flavor, or on a little piece of rustic white bread. Just like wine, look a the color of the oil, swirl it on the cup and hold the oil in your mouth for a moment to capture the initial flavors, focus on the different flavors that come out as you swallow the oil and notice the after taste notes.
