Paella: Spain’s National Dish: Thinking about cooking Paella? It’s a relatively easy, but time consuming dish to prepare. The most important things to successful Paella are having good ingredients and having a good pan. Always use round grain rice such as Bomba rice. The round grains are dense and need three parts liquid to the one part rice. If using seafood, get the freshest you can find. And finally, have a good, flat-bottomed pan that is oven proof. Many Paella recipes call for finishing the Paella in the oven. | | | At Comida España, we have a Paella kit that is the foundation of a good Paella. The kit includes an 11 inch, black carbon steel Paella Pan, Bomba Rice, Saffron, Paprika, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and a Paella Seasoning pack. For April, we are offering 10% off of our Paella Kits. (With Paella pan: $67.50 or without pan: $45.00) Go to www.comidaespana.com to order or to look at the individual products. We also have a great basic Paella recipe on our website under recipes. | Planning a trip to Spain? | If you are thinking about going to Spain and want to tour the country but don’t know where to start, here are a few websites that offer guided tours: www.vacationstogo.com.
